Rohit Sharma is an Indian cricketer and the vice-captain of the Indian national cricket team in limited-overs matches. He was born on April 30, 1987, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.

Sharma made his debut for the Indian cricket team in 2007 and has since become one of the most successful batsmen in limited-overs cricket. He is known for his elegant strokeplay and has set several records in his career, including the highest individual score in One Day International (ODI) cricket, with a score of 264 runs against Sri Lanka in 2014.

In addition to his success in ODIs, Sharma has also excelled in the Indian Premier League (IPL), playing for the Mumbai Indians franchise. He has led the team to five IPL titles, the most by any team in the tournamentโ€™s history, and has won numerous individual awards, including the IPLโ€™s Most Valuable Player award in 2019.

Sharma has also been recognized with several awards and honours for his contributions to Indian cricket, including the Arjuna Award in 2015 and the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Indiaโ€™s highest sporting honour, in 2020.

In their personal life, Rohit Sharma is married to Ritika Sajdeh, and the couple has a daughter.
